Former Bachelor star Gia Allemand’s memorial service took place on Wednesday, August 21 at the Papavero funeral home in Maspeth, NY.
No cameras were allowed inside, but Splash News captured images of some of the friends and family who arrived at the funeral home to pay their respects to the reality star who committed suicide on August 14.
Gia’s former boyfriend, baseball star Carl Pavano left a bouquet of flowers at the memorial. The note with the flowers read, “My thoughts and prayers are with the Allemand family.”
At least one cast member from the Bachelor franchise, Rhode Islander Jason Resmini, was seen entering the funeral home.
Resmini, who was a contestant on Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky’s season, met up with Gia and her boyfriend, NBA star Ryan Anderson two months ago while the couple visited Rhode Island for a wedding.
The trio posed for photos at Trafford’s Restaurant in Warren, RI and Gia quickly posted them on Instagram.
For those in the “Bachelor Family” who couldn’t attend the New York memorial service for Gia Allemand on Wednesday, Fedotowsky tweeted that there would be a memorial the weekend of August 23.
“ATTN Bach fam on west coast. We are planning a memorial for Gia this weekend for those of us who can’t make it to NYC. Please DM your email.”
The memorial service in New York is open to the public on Wednesday from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. and again from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
A funeral service for Gia Allemand will be held at the Trinity Grace Church in New York City at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 22.
